Jimena Shafto (BSc Hons, PGCE, MA)
Jimena is the founder, owner and director of Spangles Education Limited. She has worked in the Education sector, for more than 20 years.
She is a qualified teacher graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University College where she did her PGCE. Jimena holds a Master’s degree in arts, (MA) in Spanish and Latin American Culture Studies from Kings College University of London.
Jimena has taught Spanish at Mid Kent College for the GCSE and A levels, UCA University for the Creative Arts, teaching undergraduate students, Adult Education Centre and Invicta Grammar School, teaching from Y7 until Y10. She has also worked for Bromley College as a Business Studies Lecturer teaching GNVQ and AVCE levels. Since 2005 she has been fully committed to Spangles.
Jimena has produced many resources to support the children’s programmes including musical CDs, course books, online games and educational literature. For the adult programmes she has produced podcasts, course books, literature and an online forum.
